This wasn't a bad book, but it didn't have the same tone as the Lucky Harbor books. It's very much mired in tragedy, but it is also about surviving those tragedies. I didn't like Cam much, it was as if he couldn't let go of his former lifestyle. I did admire Katie, though, and her desire to have adventures so that she'd have a full and happy life for those that had died. The book had interesting secondary characters, that was an obvious suggestion that they'd be the "stars" of the next books, though the situation with Nick and his wife was a bit tedious at times. All things considered, I'm looking forward to the next book!
