This was almost a direct follow up to Dangerous Passage, and seems to pick up shortly after where it left off. We get to further see the changes in Mason that had been started in that book, and Emily was a quiet heroine with a surprising well of strength and determination. The book starts off with a bang and doesn’t let up until the end of the book! The faith aspect of the book isn’t preachy, but artfully woven into the story, so that it seems like a believable extension of the characters. The romantic relationship did come across as a bit rushed, but somewhat believable, as Mason had been “half in love” with Emily from afar since college. All in all, it was a pleasant way to pass a day!
