I really wanted to like this book, but I had a few problems with it that really sunk my enjoyment of it. First and formost, I couldn't form a connection with Julia/Abigail. I get that her childhood abuse and job made her emotionally aloof, but she took it a bit too far for me. Second, while I normally enjoy love triangle romances, there's usually something about one of the guys that makes me root for one over the other. Not so with this book! Both heroes were good for Julia, and I couldn't decide who I wanted her with! Finally, while this book was action and intrigue packed, it got bogged down in spots and felt like it dragged on a bit too long. While I think I've read and enjoyed other books by this author, I don't think this particular series of hers would be worth continuing.
