On the Banks of Plum Creek (Little House #4)

On the Banks of Plum Creek - Laura Ingalls Wilder, Garth Williams

The events of this book pick up shortly after the events at the end of Little House on the Prairie. It depicts the differences of living in a dugout versus an actual house as well as the differences of living so close to town than living 5-10 miles away. The things that they had to make it through were very interesting, and I often wondered how communication happened with their Norwegian neighbors if the neighbors could not speak or understand English! I hated how abruptly the book ended, but it was an interesting read despite that.
