The Greatest Show on Earth

The Greatest Show on Earth - Rachael Phillips I didn't quite know what to think when I checked this book out, but I didn't find it that interesting. The concept of the children's circus was a bit unique, but it highlighted Lauren's insecurities. I really didn't like her as a heroine much, because she was too afraid to take any risks after the death of her stuntman husband. It was like she wanted her and her kids to live in a bubble so that nothing could happen to them. It wasn't realistic! Kyle was a decent enough hero, but his parents were very manipulative and he didn't wind up standing up to them until the end of the book. The secondary characters were a mixed bag between interesting and annoying. All in all, worth reading once, but not a keeper.
